The AIA Ministry Market

Below is the presentation that was given to the Athletes in Action executive team in early March of 2022. Through brainstorming and examining the AIA processes, Bonnie and a team identified gaps within the organization that needed to be filled.

The AIA Ministry Market was the answer to that gap. Bonnie designed this website to work as an internal marketing site for the AIA staff, which would be an instrumental part of meeting several key needs:

  • General awareness: AIA is a massive organization that has staff all over the country and world. The Ministry Market will allow staff in one place to quickly and easily see what events and experiences are available on the other side of the country, details, who to contact with questions, etc.

  • Professional branding: AIA is not a marketing organization. Therefore, a very large need is that the staff be provided with professional, on-brand materials they can use when interacting with coaches and athletes. This site provides graphics of all types.

  • Messaging: While AIA is an organization full of leaders and many great communicators, marketing takes time, and messaging is no exception. This site provides messaging for all events and allows users to have a quick and easy experience, taking no more than a couple of minutes.

Mission Launched

Since this was presented in early March 2022, the AIA staff have had an extremely positive response. Excitement and gratitude immediately began spreading throughout the organization, and many have been utilizing this tool for recruitment purposes in their work.

Media & Messaging

One of many graphics provided to AIA Men’s Basketball for the Final Four Coaches Convention. This was meant to be AirDropped, texted, emailed, or whatever was needed to get in front of men’s basketball coaches and athletes.

A wide variety of these graphics are provided to the AIA staff so they can band together and have the materials they need to be great teammates and recruit to each other’s events.

Sports-specific international experiences.

Easy Tracking

Bonnie and her team wanted to make this easy for staff to follow. They didn’t want this to be another unopened email in their archives or another app or software to download. So Bonnie created an Instagram page for staff, as the vast majority are already on that platform. This account is growing weekly, and is an easy way for staff to know when new media has been provided for them.

Marketing Education

This is also an account Bonnie is using to educate the staff on how they can utilize their ministry social accounts to truly make an impact with their digital presence.
